The potential of the biotechnology sector in Pomerania results from the availability of qualified staff and the necessary research and development infrastructure. In Pomerania, there are many companies in the industry representing specializations such as: molecular biology, medical devices for oncology, infectious diseases and transplantology, laboratory diagnostics, microbiological research, pharmacy or detergent production. Cosmetics

According to Cosmetics Europe, Poland with a retail market worth EUR 4 billion is the sixth market in Europe, giving way to Germany, France, Italy, the UK and Spain. The largest share in the value of the domestic production of cosmetics in 2021 was held by skin care products (42%), color and manicure cosmetics (14%) as well as shampoos and hair conditioners (13%). The Pomeranian market is known for producing good quality cosmetics. There are many companies known not only in Poland, but also in the world, ensuring product and price diversity. There is strong competition in the sector.
